CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

Given the profoundly negative effect of conflict on African countries, the GCA has focused attention on conflict management as a development imperative. In addition to massive loss of life and displacement of people, conflict has destroyed physical infrastructure, undermined economies and eroded the fabric of societies. It has also contributed to a negative image of the continent as a whole.
